As a member of PATH International, HOHB is proud to offer

Equine Services for Heroes

for our military veterans of any age or type of disability.

 

Specific precautions are addressed through an evaluation to determine eligibility.

The gait of the horse mimics the natural movement of the human body when walking.

Relaxes tight muscles

Increases range of motion

Improves circulation

 

 

Working with horses provides constant feedback, reflecting our behavior.

Horses mirror our state of mind and never judge.

Learning to interact with them provides a sense of peace and an emotional well-being that can carry over into our daily lives.

 

 


Veteran Program

Level III

Riders at this level can ride alone and are capable of advanced maneuvers and skills. These riders will learn routines and will hold a performance at the end of the semester.

If this applicant is interested in participating in supervised equine activities, in order to safely provide this service,
HOHB requests that you complete/update this Medical History and Physician’s Statement Form.

Please note any precautions or contradictions to equine activities.
