Level I

Riding instruction as physical, cognitive, emotional and occupational therapies for clients with special needs, offering verbal, social, reading and task building elements.

Level II

Advanced riders are given more responsibility, including tacking and horse care, and are challenged to improve their riding skills.

Community Enrichment Education (non-riding)

Supervised activities designed to teach personal, life, social, communication and vocational skills through equine assisted activities, groundwork, performing barn chores and landscaping. Participants can volunteer in therapeutic riding classes under the direction of equine instructors and with the assistance of volunteers and program staff as mentors, learning empathy for special needs riders and learning the responsibility of sidewalking to ensure therapeutic program riders safety. Can be customized to specialized group needs.

Community Enrichment Education Plus (includes riding)

Mounted and unmounted supervised equine activities designed to provide opportunities for success and teach personal, life, social, communication and vocational skills, as well as horseback riding. Participants learn basic horsemanship including care of horses, and perform barn chores following safety rules to earn additional responsibility and opportunity to ride. Activities build individual self-confidence, esteem and sense of responsibility and accountability. Participants volunteer in therapeutic riding classes, learning empathy and the responsibility of sidewalking to ensure therapeutic program rider safety.

Educational Experience

Several hours in one day of Level 1, EFL, EAP, and/or Fun with Horses depending on the needs of the group

Condense Summer Session (CSS)

Several days in one week to include all levels, EFL, EAP, and/or Fun with Horses depending on the needs of the group.

Fun with Horses

Supervised activities using horses, designed to teach personal, life, social and communication skills. Participants will learn to groom, tack, lead, and care for horses; building self confidence, esteem, and sense of responsibility, learning team work, sense of accomplishment, pride in work, and task completion.

Private Lesson

A one on one lesson for the student.
